Redwood Forest Walk—

I tread lightly on the composted trail
shedding heavy layers and my fog veil.
Open is the air filling my strong mind
breathing in rich moss oxygen unwind.
Leaving history behind as I walk
amongst my ancient friends’ wisdom wind talk.
Praising their knowledge with roots balancing
standing still in redwood and evergreen.
Storing the whispers of giant beauties
inside my heart from these calm, peaceful trees.
